Windscreen Repair will save your windscreen from being unnecessarily replaced.  The results using GlasWeld products are as good as it gets.  Every repair leaves a mark.  But not all repairs need to look like they were simply filled with some kind of glue and left to dry.  Done correctly, windscreen repair will not only look great, it will keep your windscreen intact.

How Windscreen Repair Works

The GlasWeld process involves removing all of the air from a damage, injecting it with a UV curable resin, and then curing this resin with a UV curing lamp.  Our resins keep the damage from spreading, and keep the repair as invisible as possible.

First, an injector, such as our G3 shown here, is placed over the damage where all of the air inside the damage can be drawn out. Then, using this same injector, resin is injected into the damage. To see how this injector works, click here.

The GlasWeld resin that is used to fill the void created by the damage is designed to cure under a specific UV wavelength. Also, this resin does not shrink. Many resins, under different weather conditions, will shrink and expand, exposing the damage to the elements. Not our resins. They are built for the duration. Click here to learn more.

Once the injector has removed all air and has injected resin into the damage, it is now time to cure it. Since the resin cures at a specific UV wavelength it would stand to reason that the curing lamp should put out that exact UV wavelength. And that is exactly what GlasWeld curing lamps do.
